So I was talking to a local photographer yesterday (Ryan Klintworth with Eugene Grace) and he told me a bit of beginners advise, "Set your camera to manual and never take it off." Now when he said this I was really thrown off, I had used manual before but I was a lot more comfortable with the setting Av - Aperture Value, so generally I asked Ryan why he suggests manual and he plainly said, "You've got all control." Now that--that got the point across.
Being a beginner photographer I want to know everything I can about the art, and it seems to me that having control is a good first step. I made the chart (above) to show you what using your Manual settings looks like. Basically I made myself a cute cheat sheet and wanted to share it... I hope this helps!
